TatySocks raises money for innovative cancer research, so no other families will be told their child has cancer.
Each pair of TatySocks is specially designed by an incredibly strong child and their family who is battling, has survived, or unfortunately lost their fight against cancer.
Taty was a beautiful young girl with a smile that would light up a room. Unfortunately, Taty lost her battle to cancer in 2015 at the age of 16. She was was an incredible artist and an inspiration. Taty discovered her artistic ability while she was being treated at Dana-Farber. Taty's artwork was on display throughout the hospital.
Since 2015, Tracy Saperstein has raised over $240,000 for innovative cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA by running marathons. She has completed the 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019 Boston Marathon, the 2017 New York Marathon, the 2018 London Marathon, the 2018 Chicago Marathon, the 2019 Big Sur Marathon and the 2019 Berlin Marathon. Her quest for running the 6 World Major Marathons was cut short by COVID-19 when the Tokyo 2020 Marathon was cancelled.
In 2018, Tracy ran the London Marathon to raise money for innovative cancer research in memory of Taty. With the permission from Taty's parents, Tracy had a piece of Taty's artwork digitally printed on a pair of socks and ordered 60 pairs that were purchased by a financial donor. The socks sold out overnight, and just like that TatySocks was established.
Since its start in 2019, TatySocks has donated over $30,000 to innovative cancer research.
Any child who has cancer, is a survivor of cancer or who unfortunately lost their battle to cancer is welcome to be a "Feetured Artist"
